This bamboo can survive temperatures up to -10° F. this plant grows well in zones five through seven, and depending on your zone it can grow anywhere from 10 feet high to 40 feet high! This particular type of bamboo has larger culms, also known as the cane of bamboo, than aurea at a 2.5 inches diameter. The zigzag culms appear pale green outside in full sun.
