The Story Of Bamboo Manalac
When most people hear 'Bamboo Manalac' they tend to think of things made out of bamboo. Bamboo flooring, bamboo shades, and the harness of bamboo itself are the kinds of thoughts that run through a person's mind. However, Bamboo Manalac is actually a person. His real name is Francisco Guadencio Lupe Belardo Manalac, but his nickname is Bamboo. He has had a great career in music, and he continues to be extremely influential to many all over the world. This article will discuss exactly who this man is and what he has accomplished.
The man known as Bamboo Manalac first started his music career in a Filipino rock band named Rivermaya. This band received a lot of attention as it played really great music. However, after the band went on a tour in the United States, the band broke up. Manalac decided that he was going to live in Los Angeles with his family, and that's exactly what he did.
While in Los Angeles Bamboo Manalac didn't focus on music at all. He basically gave it up, and no one knew if he was ever going to sing for a living ever again. It took a few years, but he decided that going back and singing in the Philippines was exactly what he needed to do. Only five years after giving up music and living in Los Angeles, Manalac went back to the Philippines. It was a great decision as he and his new band won many awards virtually right away.

When Bamboo Manalac went back to the Philippines he decided to start up his own band. He recruited a former band member from his previous band, Rivermaya, named Nathan Azarcon. The other two members of the band came from a different band named Passage. There names are Ira Cruz, guitarist, and Vic Mercado, drummer. This band got together, and they started to succeed right away. They even won the band of the year award in 2004 during at MTV Pilipinas and the NU Rock Awards. That very same year Manalac also won the vocalist of the year award during at the NU Rock Awards. The band was obviously a hit right from the start. Manalac and his band have been a great influence ever since as they continue to play great music.
